Question O' The Month -- November 2002

Believe it or not, only one person answered last month's trivia question correctly. The question was what current Blue Jacket fought Peter Worrell twice in the late 1990s, then gave "advice" to Jody Shelley before his bout with Worrell.

The answer: Tyler Wright.

Erik Saar got the question right, and even quoted an old LCS Hockey story in doing so. Good job Erik! For that, he gets a prize.

Now on to this month's queston:

Answer the following questions correctly and you will be eligible to win a cool prize. What is the prize? Beats us. We'll dig around the LCS Hockey Headquarters and find something...

Question No. 1: Michael Nylander was traded on Nov. 1 from the Blackhawks to the Capitals. Nylander sported a wacky-looking helmet in the first game of the season against Columbus to protect an injury. The helmet had extra protection around the jaw area. That got us reminiscing about the good ol' days of the NHL -- 1991-92 to be exact. That's when a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins broke his jaw and used a similar contraption. His teammates gave him a new nickname because of the funkiness of it. That nickname was in reference to a popular children's toy in the late 1980s. So our question is: Who was this masked Penguin?

Question No. 2: This is a tiebreaker question in case two or more people get the first question right. What was the name of the popular children's toy of the late 1980s?

Send your answers to iovino@lcshockey.com.

Deadline for submissions is Nov. 30. A winner will be contacted via e-mail. Good luck!
