Senate Majority Leader

Not many people are noticing, but the Ottawa Senators are having a tremendous season. They're leading the Northeast Division and are only one point out of first place in the entire Eastern Conference. And Alexei Yashin is behind it all. Although, I've heard ALF is doin' what he can. That guy's a diabolical genius.

Pittsburgh Makes It Fun
Jaromir Jagr and the Pittsburgh Penguins are making hockey fun again. But are they really as good as they looked during their ten-game winning streak? And why can't they seem to win on the road?

Struggling Stars Could Change Scenery

by Jim Iovino, Ace Reporter

More Stuff...
As per usual, here are some things I didn't have time to make into full features. Topics include: More thoughts on ties, charitable contributions, coolness update, and so much more. Well, not really. But who cares?
by Michael Dell, Editor-in-Chief

The Regression Effect
Why does it seem players always slump in their sophomore year or teams always improve after a coaching change? Easy. What the hell else can they do?
by Howard Feinberg, Correspondent

Chimp Bytes: General NHL News and Notes
General news and notes from around the NHL, written in simple words for simple people. No joke. There's actually a Chimp Bytes column this issue. It's just so good that it took Zippy the past three months to write it.
by Zippy, Wonderous Chimp

American Hockey League (AHL) News
News and notes from around the American Hockey League.
by Tricia McMillan, AHL Correspondent

The Publicity Tour
I wasn't around last issue because I was off on a publicity tour to help spread the word of LCS Hockey. It was a wild, wild ride.
by Michael Dell, Editor-in-Chief

Reader Mail
We get letters. Oh, do we get the letters. And every once in awhile, we actually answer them. Who knows? Maybe your letter might be in here. We get hundreds of letters each week, and like five or six made the column, but I'm sure one of them is yours. Yeah, right.
by Michael Dell, Editor-in-Chief

Alcohol Impairment Chart
As a public service announcement, we've been asked to display an alcohol impairment chart to help you know when to say when. I usually go until I can't say when, but that's just me. I mean, it's not on a chart or anything.
