Richards Right at Home

Brad Richards had a great debut with the Dallas Stars, ringing up five assists in a 7-4 destruction of the Blackhawks. It was much better than Marian Hossa's first game with the Pens. But it's just a Grade I MCL sprain. He should be back in a week. Relax.

02.28.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

We recapped the trade deadline, getting a special report from our buddy Matthieu Frenchy Thrasher Guy in Atlanta. Zippy the Wonder Chimp called in to talk about the new LCS Forums and his passion for fantasy baseball. Then we presented our Top 11 Super Heroes. And, no, Mario Lemieux doesn't count.

02.27.08

Deadline Recap

I'm contractually obligated to recap the trade deadline shenanigans. Here are the winners, losers, and other items of note.

02.26.08

Hossa!

First Forsberg and now this. If it was raining gin, I'd swear this was heaven.

02.25.08

Oh, Happy Day!

Peter Forsberg!

02.25.08

Deadline Looms

Wake the kids and call the neighbors. The trade deadline is tomorrow at 3PM EST. I'll bring the gin.

02.24.08

Top 11

I finally got around to making a page for our Top 11 lists. Now you can follow along. And in case you're scoring at home, I'm up 3-0 on Jerry.

02.22.08

Malkin Mauls Montreal

Geno the Scoring Machine-o struck again. Plus, the NHL is goin' green, and Alyssa Milano is hot.

02.21.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

We talked Evgeni Malkin taking the scoring lead, Sidney Crosby perhaps returning too soon, Montreal's big comeback against the Rangers, and a few trade rumors and whatnot. We then unveiled our Top 11 Sitcom Broads. Good times.

02.19.08

And Down Goes Lidstrom

The Red Wings snapped their losing streak, but it came with a price. Also, Peter Forsberg may not be done yet, and two of those filthy Red Wings reveal their true feelings for each other.

02.18.08

Yeehaw!

The Detroit Red Wings have lost six games in a row. Birthday wishes can come true!

02.17.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

Jerry and I finally made it through our Top 11 Sitcom Characters. We also talked some Big Brother, some movies, and some Kimbo Slice. Not much hockey, though.

02.16.08

GM Transcript

Ken Holland, Paul Holmgren, Don Waddell, and Brian Burke had a conference call a few days ago to discuss preparations for the trade deadline. Here's the complete transcript. There's some interesting stuff, particularly about Marian Hossa and Peter Forsberg.

02.16.08

Hockey Weekend Across America

That's right; it's Hockey Weekend Across America. Catch the fever.

02.15.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

Jerry did a 30-minutes test show all by himself to see if the BlogTalk still worked. In order to kill time, he even called up our buddy Lance Miller. They talked about Lance's Hearts strategy, Jerry's love of Chow Mein noodles, and then they even read a completely fake list of my favorite sitcom characters. Lies, Gomez! All lies! The good news is the show recorded, so we'll do another broadcast Sunday at 5PM EST.

02.12.08

Big Three Back Together

Jason Spezza, Dany Heatley, and Daniel Alfredsson have reunited, and it feels so good. Unless, you know, you live outside Ottawa, because then it kind of sucks.

02.10.08

Yellow Fever

Marc-Andre Fleury is ditching his bright yellow pads. And a nation wept.

02.09.08

Turn Your Key, Wade!

Wade Redden isn't ready to give up on the Ottawa Senators just yet, no matter how much they'd like to trade him to San Jose.

02.08.08

Whitney Responds

Ryan Whitney answered his critics, potting a pair of power-play goals in a 4-3 win over the Islanders. Plus, Dany Heatley returned in style, Peter Forsberg is close to makng a decision, and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen gets knocked the (sunshine) out.

02.07.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

We talked about Michel Therrien, Peter Forsberg, Dion Phaneuf, Rick Tocchet, and all sorts of other hockey shenanigans, plus a recap of those filthy Patriots losing in the Super Bowl. Then we started to finish up our list of the Top 11 Sitcom Characters until BlogTalk went loopy. So basically, you've got 71 minutes of radio mediocrity and then 20 minutes of dead silence. Only you can decide which is more enjoyable.

02.06.08

Enough's Enough

Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Michel Therrien has got to go!

02.05.08

Dallas Doing It Again

Marty Turco and the Dallas Stars are up to their old tricks, and it kind of sucks.

02.02.08

LCS Hockey Radio Show

Jerry wanted to do a radio show for some reason, so we just threw this together without warning. We talked about Alexander Ovechkin, Ray Emery, and that high-larious Pittsburgh Penguins commercial. We also got into some Super Bowl talk and discussed this equally high-larious clip of Chris Berman being a douche. Jerry then tested me on some "Taxi" trivia. Three guesses how that went. And still TV trivia champion of the world...

02.01.08

Ovechkin Overpowers Habs

Alexander Ovechkin continued his run for the Hart, mauling Montreal for four goals. Plus: Vincent Lecavalier punching people, Peter Forsberg nearing a return, and the Pittsburgh Penguins make the best TV commercial ever.
