World Domination Report VOL III, NO XVI by Zippy, Wonder Chimp
One way you can aid the world domination effort is by becoming a correspondent. Visit our help wanted page for more information. LCS Hockey is also looking for individuals intersted in coaching/drills/skill development, collectibles, history, or hockey pools for some new projects. Write to us at staff@lcshockey.com for more information. LCS Hockey to Celebrate Four Years of Online Dominance The monumental first issue of LCS Hockey was produced on June 15, 1994. Since that day, the world has never been the same. Despite many setbacks and prostitution convictions, LCS Hockey has continued its miscalculated world domination efforts and is proud to announce its four year anniversary. In conjunction with our anniversary on June 15, LCS Hockey will reach another milestone with the publishing of Issue 100. The issue will recap the highlights during our four years of reporting excellence. And, of course, the staff of LCS Hockey asks you to celebrate with us through the consumption of cheap wine... provided you are of legal drinking age or have a kick-ass fake id.
Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine Names LCS Hockey "The Best" Hockey Site for a Second Year Recently, LCS: Guide to Hockey was named the best ice hockey web site by Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine. This marks the second consecutive year LCS Hockey has received this honor. In fact, LCS Hockey (http://www.lcshockey.com) was once again the only hockey news web site to receive all four stars in the rating and beat out other mass media sites like ESPN's Sportszone hockey page. Yahoo! Internet Life said the following about LCS Hockey in the May 1998 issue: "After the players slog through 84 regular-season games and an Olympic side trip, it's no wonder that the intensity level rises exponentially for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Your opening draw this season should be the news, analysis, and stats on the LCS Hockey pages. The historical archive offers team-by-team and player histories, a full slate of stats and record holders and even a list of noteworthy nicknames from hockey's lore." Following tradition, LCS Hockey is continuing to stay one step ahead of the competition with the recent unveiling of two new additions to its web site - LCS Hockey: Behind the Bench and Hockey Over Time. LCS Hockey: Behind the Bench is an area devoted to youth hockey players and coaches who want to learn more about the game. Hockey Over Time is a collection of stories, statistics and other information on the history of the game of hockey. Over the upcoming months, Hockey Over Time will be integrated with the LCS Hockey NHL Archive to produce the Internet's most comprehensive historical hockey reference.
LCS Hockey on America Online Be sure to post your opinions on our newly updated message boards. It's playoff time, so take a chance to hype up your favorite team.
