Home Videosby Michael Menser Dell, Editor-in-Chief LCS reader Vince Laboon went to Washington over the weekend to watch Nicklas Backstrom and the Penguins beat the Capitals, 4-2. Vince was kind enough to chronicle the trip with a few entertaining videos, including footage of the pre-game skate, Alexander Ovechkin getting booed in his own barn, and Pittsburghers showing their obsessive love for Jarkko Ruutu. I gotta tell ya, while the videos are a testament to the loyalty of Pittsburgh fans, they're a scathing indictment of the pitiful fan base in Washington. Where were the Caps fans? Have some pride, for Maruk's sake! It's like the Pens have two home arenas. C'mon, Caps fans, look up at your Stanley Cup banners and defend your glorious tradition! Oh wait, never mind. Well, think of all the great Hall of Fame players who have... yeah, that really won't work either. Hmm ha. Hey, your uniforms are nice. That's something. Anyway, thanks to Vince for sharing the videos. And if anyone else out there has videos they'd like to share, please let me know. Also feel free to send over any loose change, old clothes, or table scraps. We're very poor.
Ovechkin gets booed off the ice during the 3-star announcement. Good times.
Finally, Pittsburgh fans hold an impromptu pep rally after the game. It's tough to beat a spontaneous Ruutu chant.
